The answer is: With you US drivers license (for those obviously American). All others need to take there valid passport with a valid and current US entry visa in it.

This is by far the best alternative. If you arrive to the Mexico border by car then park it on the US side and walk across the border. It takes from 40 seconds to about 5 minutes, depending where you park near the border. Then take a taxi to our dental office. You will most likely be greeted by about 10 eager taxi drivers immediately upon entering Mexico. Take the first one offering, no need to bargain, they all work for the same company; The Yellow Taxi Cab Company. The ride takes only 5 minutes by car costs about $5. Tell the taxi driver to take you to:

“Ave. Padre Kino, Plaza Santa Fe. Dentista
in front of Funerales del Rio”

In the unlikely event the driver does not know where to go then show him a printout from the directions. If you don't have the printout ask for a new taxi or find payphone and call our office (682-9464 or 682-9465).

We do not recommend that you drive to Mexico, but if you feel adventurous, here is useful info:
- Be warned that if you drive your car across the border you may have to wait 1 or 2 hours in a line to get back to USA. Therefore it's better to park on the US side and walk across the border.
-Be aware that most US insurance doest not cover your vehicle in Mexico, you can buy additional insurance before you cross the border. Look for business signs like “ Insurance and Parking”.
-Before you come to the last US Exit sign check if you have your passport with you.
-Print out and the directions. If you make a mistake on an exit it may take you up to 2 hours to arrive at the office. For this reason it is a good idea to have a detailed map of Tijuana with you, you can get one at a gas station before you cross the border or right after you cross the border in a tourists information booth. When you arrive we have amplle parking in front of our building. See Picture.

PARKING IN USA:

A number of secure parking garages exist in walking distance from the border. They charge from $5 to $7 per day and sometimes more during special holidays.
Insurance
You may purchase car insurance, daily or weekly rates are available both from insurance companies close to the US and Mexican side of the border. Most US car insurance becomes invalid when crossing the border to Mexico.

AIRPORTS

San Diego, California, International Airport is your best connection. If you want to go directly to the border (about 15 to 20 minutes) or take a taxi or bus to the downtown train station and take the trolley to the border
