What is it made out of?

You can choose between the 3 materials that we provide.

  • Zirconia is the strongest material and is very aesthetic.

  • A porcelain fused metal crown if you would like the cheapest option.

  • A pure porcelain is recommended for front teeth.

How long does it take? A total of 2 appointments is needed to complete this procedure, the first visit is when the tooth is treated and a mold of your mouth is made. We then send the mold to a lab where they make the tooth out of the material of your choice. The tooth then comes back to us and upon this next appointment, it is placed on the treated tooth and cemented in place. Each appointment is about an hour depending on the number of teeth you would like replaced.

Temporary: A temporary crown will be provided in order to keep the tooth safe while you wait for your permanent crown to come in.

Is it done in house? We make the mold and cement the crowns here in the clinic, however the crowns themselves are made by our partner lab.

Guarantee: This guarantee only covers Displacement or fracture of the prosthetic for up to 6 months for porcelain fused to metal crowns, and in the case of Zirconia crowns this guarantee covers for up to a year starting the day that the final prosthetic is cemented into the mouth. This guarantee is void if the patient doesn't attend to a routine cleaning and revision of their prosthetic every 6 months.
