What are cavities? Cavities are holes in your teeth that have been worn down over time. Some cavities are big, some are small but all have one thing in common, they are causing damage to your teeth.
What causes Cavities? Cavities are caused by Bacteria that live on the plaque that remains on your teeth when you don't brush properly. The factors that increase your risk of getting cavities are; the amount of sugar you consume, the quantity of bacteria that you have in your mouth, and your oral hygiene.
What is it? Dental fillings are usually made from Composite (traditionally, they used to be made of Amalgam) they can be made to look exactly like your natural teeth. Their purpose is to cover the space where a cavity was and save your teeth from further damage.

Dental Onlay & Inlay
Dental Inlays and Onlays are used when a filling just isn't enough but it's still not so much that you need to crown the tooth.
What is it? it's a Restoration technique that is used when the tooth is partially destroyed, it only covers a portion of the tooth (when a filling is not enough but a crown would be too much).
What is it made out of? Resin or Porcelain ,made in a laboratory.
How much does it cost? around 350.
How long does it take? It takes 2 visits.
Is it done in house? yes (save for the teeth).
What is it? A dental crown is a cap that is placed upon a tooth that has been ground down to look like a thimble.
How much does it cost? Per tooth, these can range from $295 to $550.

Zirconia is the strongest material and is very aesthetic.
A porcelain fused metal crown if you would like the cheapest option.
A pure porcelain is recommended for front teeth.
How long does it take? A total of 2 appointments is needed to complete this procedure, the first visit is when the tooth is treated and a mold of your mouth is made. We then send the mold to a lab where they make the tooth out of the material of your choice. The tooth then comes back to us and upon this next appointment, it is placed on the treated tooth and cemented in place. Each appointment is about an hour depending on the number of teeth you would like replaced.
Temporary: A temporary crown will be provided in order to keep the tooth safe while you wait for your permanent crown to come in.
Is it done in house? We make the mold and cement the crowns here in the clinic, however the crowns themselves are made by our partner lab.
Guarantee: This guarantee only covers Displacement or fracture of the prosthetic for up to 6 months for porcelain fused to metal crowns, and in the case of Zirconia crowns this guarantee covers for up to a year starting the day that the final prosthetic is cemented into the mouth. This guarantee is void if the patient doesn't attend to a routine cleaning and revision of their prosthetic every 6 months.
